This company delivered the request for a price increase to the Indirect Taxation Authority at the end of February.

Manufacturers and distributors of cigarettes and tobacco can, at any time of the year, increase the price of tobacco products, provided that the new price has to include all taxes, such as valid excise for this year and corresponding VAT.

The difference of the excise identified in the census have to be paid within seven days from the inventory list, and cigarettes on which the excise difference has been calculated and paid, will be sold at new prices while the stock lasts, no matter to the fact that old excise stamp is on them.
