A new instrument take-off procedure – RNAV SID RWY 11 – has been successfully established at Sarajevo International Airport, marking a step forward in improving the airport’s operational and navigational capacities.

The introduction of the RNAV (Area Navigation) SID procedure enables more precise and efficient management of departing flights, as well as increasing the safety and flow of air traffic.

The special significance of this implementation lies in the fact that it is the first such procedure introduced at Sarajevo Airport since its establishment

“This project is the result of long-term and dedicated work by BHANSA, with continuous cooperation and active participation of our expert team, which we are particularly proud of. By applying modern navigation solutions, we enable more efficient management of departing flights, route optimization and additional harmonization with international aviation standards,” said Acting Executive Director for Traffic Amadeo Mandić, announced Sarajevo International Airport.
