eu-briselPolitical Leaders in B&H will meet today in Brussels with officials of the EU, led by EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule in order to finally reach an agreement on issues that are blocking B&H’s path to the EU, above all the implementation of the ruling of the European Court for Human Rights in the case of “Sejdić-Finci”.

European officials said before the meeting that there is no other alternative other than to reach an agreement in Brussels and recalled that last time B&H leaders signed seven points, and that the least that the EU could do is to expect for leaders to agree to comply.

The EU Delegation to B&H recalled that all leaders at the last meeting on 1 October signed an agreement in which seven principles were listed. They all pledged that by 10 October they would find concrete ways to resolve the issue of “Sejdić-Finci” and establish a coordination mechanism for issues related to the EU.

The meeting began at 9:00, and Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to B&H Renzo Daviddi will make the first address.
