BH companies should review all its labels in order to assess their compliance and change the labeling.
Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH informed all businessmen who export food products to the United States or who are interested in regulations of this sector for other reasons, that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prescribed new rules which should be respected by exporters of drinks and food from BiH to the USA.
These are few adjustments whose final deadline is in 2016, and one of them are new requirements in labeling, and as noted, the FDA has finalized two new rules regarding significant changes in the nutrition facts on the labels of food, beverages and food supplements. Errors in labels are one of major causes of delaying exports, and BH companies should review all their labels in order to assess their compliance and change the labeling – to respect the requirements for additional technical and other information.
The deadline for completing of this is 2 years, starting from the 26th of July 2016.
