No BH Citizens among Identified Victims in Istanbul

istanbul-new-years-eve-attackAccording to information at the disposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, there are no BH citizens in the attack on nightclub Reina in Istanbul during the New Year’s Eve.

Predrag Djokic, Head of the Office of Minister Igor Crnadak, confirmed that the ministry is in constant contact with the BH consulates in Turkey, and that according to their information, there are no BH citizens among injured civilians.

“Turkish authorities have not identified all the victims yet. There are no BH citizens among the so far identified victims,” said Djokic.

Armed men killed a policeman who was at the front door of the nightclub, entered the club and started shooting at civilians. The media reported that the attack was carried out by two men, and one of them was “dressed in a Santa Claus costume and carried a gun.”

The attack took place in the club Reina, which is one of the most famous clubs of Istanbul and it is located in the suburb Besiktas. They killed 39 and wounded 69 persons, according to Turkish media.
