NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo held a ceremony welcoming the accession of the newest member, Northern Macedonia, to the Alliance.
Deputy Head of Mission of the Northern Macedonia Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Riste Velkovski, with Brigadier General William Edwards, Commander of NATO Headquarters Sarajevo, placed the Northern Macedonia flag in the building of the NATO Headquarters Sarajevo where the flags of other members are also located.
Northern Macedonia’s NATO membership will make the Western Balkans safer and more stable, and its presence in the Alliance will contribute to international peace and security.
