How will the Money for Migrants living in Northern BiH be distributed?

The Task Force on Coordination and Migration Crisis Management in the Una-Sana Canton (USC) stressed the importance of swiftly reaching conclusions from a meeting of BiH Council of Ministers members with EU representatives in Brussels.

It was reiterated that the USC Government will follow through the agreement reached last year on the relocation of migrants and refugees from the temporary reception centers of Bira and Miral to the Medeno Polje location, between Bihać and Bosanski Petrovac.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Policy and Internal Affairs in this Canton will, within a short period of time, prepare a plan for the use of earmarked funds by the Government of the Federation of BiH.

“The distribution of funds received from the FBiH Government will be in the ratio of two and a half million KM for health purposes, while 1,500,000 marks will be directed towards the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USC. We can spend this money for security purposes and build a program based on that. We will insist on the procurement of specialist equipment, vehicles and the implementation of the Safe Cities project, all of which are particularly relevant to Bihać, Velika Kladuša, Cazin and Bosanska Krupa,” the USC Interior Minister Nermin Kljajić said.
