The best tennis player in the world, Novak Djokovic, said that he is fine after being hit in the head by a bottle while signing autographs after his victory against Frenchman Corentin Mute in the second round of the Masters in Rome.

“Thank you for the messages. This was an accident and I’m fine, I’m resting in a hotel with an ice pack. See you on Sunday,” Djokovic wrote on the “X” social network.

After the victory over Mute (2:0), Djokovic was hit by a bottle that fell from the backpack of a fan who was waiting for an autograph on the way out of the field.

The Serbian tennis player got a cut, so he canceled the press conference due to nausea and dizziness.

Tomorrow, Djokovic will play against Chilean Alejandro Tabilo in the third round.
