Director of Srebrenica Social Work Center Dane Katanic said that the number of beneficiaries of social assistance was slightly increased during the last year, Federal News Agency reports.

According to the data, during 2018, there were 25 beneficiaries who receive financial assistance in the amount of 124.65 BAM, and 479 beneficiaries who receive a supplement for the assistance and care of the other adult person.

“We have one person that is housed in a nursing home in Kiseljak, because he does not have any family. Also, we have one person who is taken to a foster family and health insurance is given to 20 people through the Social Work Center and nine people receive personal disability benefits of 100 BAM,” said Katanic.

He points out that 50 percent of the amount of assistance and care allowance is paid out of Republika Srpska budget, and 50 percent from the budget of the Srebrenica municipality.
