On the occasion of this year’s observance of Europe Day, the EU Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with its Info Centre and in cooperation with embassies and cultural institutes of EU Member States in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and numerous partners, brings you a variety of engaging, educational and entertaining content.

We start the programme on Friday, 7 May at 7:30 pm in the History Museum of BiH in Sarajevo, with the multimedia exhibition “Awakening Solidarity”, whose authors are young BiH artists and architects, covering the themes of solidarity, tolerance and activism. The exhibition was inspired by the murals of Rikardo Druškić, which he painted in five BiH towns within an EU project. The exhibition will be opened by EU Ambassador to BiH Johann Sattler, together with the Museum Director Elma Hašimbegović and the Mayor of Sarajevo Benjamina Karić. The event will be organised in compliance with all COVID-19 measures.

Following that, throughout May, we will continue with numerous activities to mark Europe Day throughout the country, accompanied by rich online content. The planned activities, among others, include three interactive online panel discussions with Ambassador Sattler and EU Member States in BiH with young people, on the topics of environmental protection, culture, as well as reconciliation, democratisation and activism. Those interested will also be able to participate in engaging “Europe A to Ž” online quizzes.

European Film Days, a traditional part of celebrating Europe Day, implemented in cooperation with the network of cultural institutes of the EU Member States in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUNIC), in this year’s online edition offer for free 15 European film productions, with translations available, at this link: https://euinfo.ba/en/europe-day/european-film-days-2021
