The basketball representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina and member of the Phoenix Suns NBA club Jusuf Nurkić once again showed that he has a big heart.

Namely, this time Nurkić donated 40,000 dollars to the association MFS-EMMAUS, otherwise one of the most active organizations in BiH that helps those in need from Srebrenica to Velika Kladuša.

Nurkić’s latest donation will co-finance part of the costs of installing a gas heating system in the Duja Reception Center.

“After last year’s visit to Srebrenica and spending time with the children in our boarding school and the mothers of Srebrenica, Jusuf promised to financially support the work of the MFS-EMMAUS Association in the future. And it wasn’t long before he kept his promise by co-financing part of the costs of installing a gas heating system in our Center Duje in Doboj Istok, where we have 472 beneficiaries from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina for accommodation and permanent care. on solid fuel and from year to year requires high costs, considering the large area and the number of objects that are heated. The gas heating system initially requires large investments, but the heating costs will be reduced over the years and this is one of the main reasons why it was started in this investment. The value of the entire investment is over 300,000 BAM, and the support for it has been given so far by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, and now our own Jusuf Nurkić,” said the Association.

They added that they are grateful to Jusuf for his understanding and support in the realization of this project.

“We wish him all the best in his private, sports and every other field of life. And we hope that after visiting our activities in Srebrenica, he will have the opportunity to visit us at the headquarters in Doboj Istok to testify to the good he has done for our 472 users, colleagues who they take care of them, but also of the community as a whole,” they pointed out.
