The Office of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed disappointment that the Draft Law on Border Control did not receive the support of representatives from Republika Srpska in the BiH House of Representatives.
“It is a disappointment that the Draft Law on Border Control did not receive an entity vote by the representatives of Republika Srpska at today’s session of the House of Representatives. A negative signal for the path to the European Union. Candidate status for Bosnia and Herzegovina was granted with the understanding that certain steps will be taken, such as border management,” they stated on the official Twitter account.
They emphasize, among other things, that “opportunities for progress must not be missed.”
