The National football team of BiH will play a very important match of the 9th qualifying round for the World Cup 2018 against Belgium at the Grbavica Stadium in Sarajevo.

“When we received a notification from FIFA that Bilino Polje stadium was suspended, we also received the information that their inspectors recommended Grbavica Stadium for the match with Belgium. We received instructions on what we need to fix in this period before the match as well, so we can confirm that this match will be played on Grbavica,” according to Elmir Pilav.

To recall, the Appellate Commission of FIFA decided to reject the appeal submitted by the Football Association of BiH after the decision of the Disciplinary Commission of FIFA to suspend the stadium in Zenica after the incidents that took place in the match between BiH and Greece.

Besides the suspension of Bilino Polje for one match, the Football Association of BiH was also punished with 30,000 CHF.

After eight qualifying rounds, our national team is in the second place of the group H for the World Cup and they need to win against Belgium in order to keep their hope for the placement in the play offs.
