klizanjeThe ‘season of skating’ in the Olympic hall ‘Juan Antonia Samaranch’ officially opened in Sarajevo yesterday. Many skaters awaited the opening of the skating rink, which was installed in the large hall of the Olympic complex, since 2014 will be the year of the celebration of the 30 years since the Sarajevo Winter Olympics. The Spokesperson of the company ZOI’84 Muamera Šehić recalled that the City Administration of Sarajevo allocated funds for free skating events, as is the tradition.

The dates of free skating for January 2014 will take place on working days from 11:45-12:45, on Saturdays from 11:45 to 12:45, and from 18:30 to 19:30, and on Sundays from 11:45 to 12:45 and from 13:00 to 14:00.

The skating rink will be open from 10:30 to 11:30, from 15:00 to 16:00, and from 19:30 to 20:45.

ZOI’84 also organized the skating school ‘ZOI’84’, which will start on 4 January. Skating will be organized into groups, and every group will go through a five-day training.

The Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo Ranko Čović believes that the investment into setting up a skating rink could meet expectations, as well as the skating school, speed skating, figure skating and hockey.
