Old Bridge in Mostar in Colors of the Spanish Flag

Yesterday night, residents of Mostar had paid tribute to the innocent victims of the terrorist attack in Barcelona, and the Old Bridge, as a world’s monument of peace, was colored in the colors of the Spanish flag.

In this way, residents stood on the side with the families of the killed ones and joined the expressions of solidarity between cities and people around the world.

The Mostar Peace Center, which has organized this symbolic performance, recalls that Spanish soldiers gave a selfless sacrifice to the peace mission in Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina during and after the war.

In honor of the Spanish soldiers killed in Mostar, Spanish King Juan Carlos I opened a Spanish Square a few years ago.
