“One Book for Peace” gathered Teachings of the Bible and the Qur’an

oneDespite the prevailing belief, there are more things in the world that connect us than those that divide us. It may sound unbelievable, but one of them is religion. When we compare the basic principles of Islam and Christianity, we will see that they are almost the same! This is illustrated in the book” One Book for Peace”. Getting the two religions closer to each other can bring peace and harmony to the world!

The book gathers teachings of the Bible and the Qur’an, by comparing how similar messages of these books actually are. By highlighting similarities between the two religions, the purpose of this book is to revive the dialogue between religions and encourage conversation between ordinary people.

The book was prepared by the experienced journalist Mirnes Kovac with two theologians-Muhamed Fazlovic (Islam) and Pavlo Mijovic (Christianity). Theologians chose verses from their holy books that they would like the people of other religions to read about their religion.

The project “The One” was prepared as a joint project between the agency New Moment and Y & R, and it was prepared for Interreligious Council in BiH, with the intention of breaking down prejudices and raising awareness about the importance of mutual understanding and interreligious dialogue.

Maja Bajic from the agency New Moment said that she is proud that BiH stands behind this project and that we can prove to the world that there is peace here and that we all believe only in one thing and that is a good and the love that we wish to everyone.

“People should find comfort in religion, and that is something that we all have to keep in mind in our busy world that is burdened by conflicts and bad deeds. Unfortunately, religion is often misused in recent times and used as the instrument of hatred as well as, ultimately, a justification for killing a person created by God and which is the most beautiful being in this world. We want to show the world that love and faith will win against the greatest evil,” concluded Bajic.
