At a press conference held yesterday in Avaz Twist Tower in Sarajevo, all the details regarding to the fifth race in a row: “Avaz Twist Running 2015” were presented. The race will be held in the highest building in the region, on Saturday, the 13th of June, 2015.
Sarajevo vertical marathon is a race along 780 stairs, organized by company “Avaz”, and goes side by side with the races in some of the world’s most famous buildings, such as: “the Empire State Building” in New York, “Messeturm” in Frankfurt, “Taipei 101” and “Willis tower” in Chicago or, “Tower 42” in London.
“We invite all with sporting spirit to apply and participate in this spectacle. This is a unique event for our capital city, as well as for B&H. The highest ranked participants will be awarded with valuable prizes, and the most important thing is that all who apply will bring rich experience of this marathon with them, “said Faruk Čardžić, deputy director of “Avaz-roto press.”
The plan is to hold 4 races, two competitive races for men and women, non-competitive race for journalists and humane stars, and the race for the youngest participants, up to 14 years old.
The organizer has provided valuable awards for all the participants. The first-ranked in male and female category will be awarded with 1,000 BAM, the second place with 500 BAM, and third place with 200 BAM.
The Organizing Committee of the race will assure that all those who come on Saturday in front of the highest building in the region have perfect atmosphere. They will provide a rich music program, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet numerous celebrities from the world of sports and show business. Also, a free barbecue will be organized for all visitors, as well as degustation of healthy domestic products.
Sanel Đuliman and Selma Zrnić will defend their titles.
