Yesterday in Zvornik was held a one-day training for producers of raspberries, at which was noted that the organic production of this fruit is becoming increasingly popular in our country.

Bojan Kecman from the Department for Expert Services in the sector of agriculture in the relevant ministry, stated that producers who decide for organic production should take care of the environment and health of people, i.e. that their product is good from the aspect of health and nutrition.

“During the organic production should be used means that are allowed in that type of production,” said Kecman.

He also noted that the possession of a valid certificate is crucial in organic production, and added that lower costs are in the interest of producers, as well as having a high-quality protection and good product at the same time.

The training on the topic “Organic protection of raspberries ” and “Good Agricultural Practice” was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the RS, the Department for Expert Services in the field of agriculture – Unit Bijeljina, in cooperation with the company “Smrcak” and the Department for Economic and Social Affairs of the City Administration of Zvornik.
