Over 104 Thousand blocked Accounts of Business Entities in BiH

At the end of May, there were as many as 104,723 blocked accounts of business entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is an increase of 208 accounts compared to the report from the previous month, according to data from the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the new report, which contains 4,228 pages (nine pages more than last month’s report), it was also stated that at the end of May, that is, at the beginning of June this year, as many as 57,296 companies had at least one blocked account, which is an increase of 104 compared to the previous month .

In this updated report of blocked accounts listed in the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Unified Register of Accounts, legal entities from all spheres of social life are listed, from businesses, shops, hair salons, gas stations, pharmacies, surgeries, cafes and restaurants, to various agencies, cooperative, companies. This list also includes mines, local communities, municipalities, sports associations…

In the first report of the Central Bank of BiH, published at the beginning of November 2012, the number of blocked accounts of business entities in BiH was 58,038, while 35,694 companies had at least one blocked bank account.
