On the artificial Lake Perucac on Drina River in the Municipality of Srebrenica yesterday was held traditional regatta, which gathered around 500 fans of sailing from BiH, Serbia, and several European countries and Australia.
Sailing was organized on two ships and several dozens of boats.
Raining did not prevent the participants to enjoy the beauty of the Drina River and its canyon.
Sailing took place from the resort Ostrik to several kilometers distant Klotjevac where was organized a short break, and then they continued sailing to the starting point Ostrik where was held competition in swimming, jumping into the lake, pulling rope and lunch for all participants of the event.
“This is a unique experience. We are participating for the first time and we will talk about this to our friends in Australia and certainly come again with some friends from that distant land,” said Hana and Salih Alic.
Andrija Velickovic from Uzice says that he is often on Perucac Lake as a fisherman, but he does not miss the ride during the regatta, which he rated as highly successful.
The organizer of this event is the Tourist Organization of Srebrenica, and members of the Border Police, as well as medical and rescue teams from Srebrenica, took care of the safety.
