The reconstruction and upgrade of passenger terminal at the International Airport Tuzla are planned to be completed by the end of April or at the beginning of May this year.

This will create conditions for smooth operation on the reception of around 700.000 passengers, i.e. serving up to 400 passengers per hour. The value of this project is 6.5 million BAM.

Director of the International Airport Tuzla Rifet Karasalihovic said that they already secured funds for this project – 2.5 million BAM through loan indebtedness of the International Airport Tuzla, and they are already on their account.

“The remaining part of the funds were secured from the budget, with the consent of the Government of the FBiH, and we will secure another 500.000 or 700.000 BAM from our own sources,” noted Karasalihovic.

Besides the information on the construction and reconstruction of passenger terminal, the  project of building a canopy was presented as well, and it will secure additional 3.000 square meters of space. Conceptual design should be done by the end of January or at the beginning of February, and it was estimated that the realization of that project will require between 1.6 and 1.8 million BAM.

Minister of Trade, Tourism and Traffic of TC, Mirsad Gluhic, stated that all works on the International Airport Tuzla should be done in a way that will allow passengers to enter and exit the airport without any disturbing.

He also said that it is very optimistic that the director presented the plan from which they could see all the novelties that will happen and will be conducted at the International Airport Tuzla.
