The results of the survey on the use of information and communication technologies in households and individually (ICT-D) in Bosnia and Herzegovina have shown the following:
- 63.6% of households have access to the computer • 66.0% of households have access to the Internet • 33.3% of households do not have Internet access
The most commonly mentioned reasons why a household does not have Internet access at home:
• I do not have the need for the Internet
62.9% of households have a fixed broadband connection, (DSL, ADSL, VDSL, cable, optical fiber, satellite
64.9% of individuals in the household used the Internet in the reference quarter.
82.3% of individuals in the household use the Internet for telephone calls and video calls in the reference quarter, and to read and download online news 75%.
23.4% of individuals in the household use the Internet in contact with the public administration
12.8% of individuals in the household used the Internet to order products and services in the reference quarter
Residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina used the Internet in the reference quarter, mostly to buy clothes, sports equipment 64.4% and computer equipment 28.4%.
