Petrol Stations in BiH recorded a further Increase in Prices

Petrol stations in Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded a further increase in the prices of petroleum products this morning, with the price of diesel reaching 4.05 BAM per liter in some locations in Sarajevo, which represents a new high in recent times.

The price increase did not stop at diesel, but other derivatives also became more expensive. Thus, the price of super 98 petrol increased to 3.26 BAM, while premium 95 reached 3.18 BAM per liter.

This trend indicates a continued increase in fuel prices on the domestic market, which has been recorded continuously in recent weeks.

According to energy experts, price movements on the world oil market are not immediately reflected in retail prices in BiH. It is emphasized that some time is needed for changes on the stock exchanges and in the supply chains to have an effect on final prices at the pumps.

In addition to the price of crude oil, the formation of fuel prices is also influenced by additional factors such as transportation costs, insurance, refining in refineries, and various taxes and duties, which additionally slows down or mitigates a possible price drop.

Although a certain stabilization of the market can be expected in the coming period, experts warn that a significant reduction in fuel prices will not occur in the short term.
