Last week, the best BH shot putter Mesud Pezer managed to achieve an extraordinary result by winning the first place on Balkan Championship in Istanbul.
On Saturday, Pezer achieved the result of 20.77 meters and thus he set a new national record, which is increased by 1 centimetre more than the previous record that was also set by him.
Pezer also won the second place on Atletic tournament that was also held in Istanbul on Sunday.
After Istanbul, Pezer will continue with intense trainings, since he will be performing on another athletic meeting in Belgrade on Wednesday.
“I feel great after winning the first place in Istanbul since it is not a small thing to be Balkan Champion. It is a special pleasure for me to break the national record, considering the fact that I am constantly improving the result of that record. That is a proof that I am worth much more and that gives me moral for competitions in the future, both in Belgrade and the World Championship that will take place in Birmingham, on March 3,” said Pezer.
He noted that he is ready and in better shape than ever in his entire career.
“I am patient and I am waiting for my chance to make the next step in my career. I will give my best in Belgrade with the aim to achieve as good result as possible, and I will pay special attention to timing my shape for the World Championship in Birmingham, where I will try to pass European levels and become one of the elite world shot putters,” concluded Pezer.
