Plenum of Brčko Citizens Sent Requests to the Assembly

BrckoAt the fifth meeting of the Plenum of citizens of Brčko District, held on 16 February, conclusions were adopted that were sent to the Brčko District Assembly.

The citizens demand the following from the Assembly:

1.To immediately suspend all proceedings taken against the organizers and participants of the peaceful protests, and to stop the implementation of repressive measures and intimidation of citizens.

2.Resignation of the current government of the Brčko District government and formation of an expert government of Brčko District.

3.To order the administrative inspector to determine the legality of actions by the contest code: 33-002975/13 from 23.01.2013, and requests to annul the same, and to make vacant the employment positions in the Department of Education, filling the list of staff from the Employment Bureau of the Brčko District B&H.

4.To adopt a set of measures to improve the social status of the citizens of Brčko District.

The saved funds and funds from unrealized capital projects that are located in the accounts at banks in the District will focus on the revival of production in the companies Izbor and Interplet.

5.Abolish additional payments to members and employees of the government of the Brčko District on the basis of participation in commissions, committees and other bodies, as well as other unreasonable and unjustified compensation.

6.Introduction of a ban on all public officials in the Brčko District B&H and participation in management and supervisory boards of public companies and institutions of public importance.

7.Reducing the highest paid public office holder at the level of two average salaries in the Brčko District B&H.

8.Conduct and audit or privatization.

9.Changes to all regulations that are the source of crime, corruption, nepotism and all other forms of favoritism of certain social groups, as well as determining the responsibility of all levels in all three branches of government.

10.Harmonization of all laws and other regulations of the statute of the Brčko District and the B&H Constitution.

11.Adopt all regulatory plans, taking into account the protection of citizens’ rights.

 

The Proclamation calls on all citizens to join in the sixth meeting of the Plenum, which will take place tomorrow at 16:30 in the Youth Center.

‘’There is no party or organization behind us. We know best that what stands behind us is many years of humiliation, hunger, helplessness and hopelessness’’, says in the Proclamation of the Plenum of the citizens of Brčko District.
