The Sarajevo Canton Police issued a statement after the New Year’s Eve 2026 celebration ended, stating that there were approximately 64,000 visitors at the gathering.

“The public gathering of the central New Year’s Eve 2026 in Sarajevo, on the Vrbanja plateau, ended at 1:30 a.m. It took place in a safe environment without incidents,” the Cantonal Police confirmed.

Last night, the organizers estimated that more than 60,000 people attended the gathering, which the Cantonal Police officially confirmed after the celebration ended, stating the number of visitors at 64,000.

Despite the cold, people arrived in large numbers to the New Year’s Eve party in Sarajevo to listen to our great stars Jelena Rozga, Dženan Lončarević and Divanhana.

The gathering of people started around 7:30 p.m., and the attendees were first entertained by Divanhana, which was followed by a concert by Dženan Lončarević. Regional star Jelena Rozga took the stage before midnight, sang a few songs, and then, together with Mayor Samir Avdić, ushered Sarajevo into 2026.
