Police found 23 Kilograms of Marijuana in Gradacac

Police officers of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Interior of the Tuzla Canton, the Criminal Police Sector, the Department for Combating Drug Abuse, in cooperation with police officers of the Gradačac Police Station/PS, carried out an action aimed at combating drug abuse in the Gradačac area.

Based on the order of the Municipal Court in Gradačac, a search was carried out of a passenger vehicle driven by N.K. (1969) from Modriča. Plant material that looks like marijuana was found and seized in the vehicle.

A further search of the house, auxiliary buildings, yard and plot used by N.K. in the Modriča area resulted in the discovery and temporary seizure of a large quantity of plant material that looks like marijuana, estimated at approximately 23 kilograms, as well as seven stems resembling Indian hemp, approximately two meters high.

The cantonal prosecutor was notified of the incident, and the suspect was taken into custody. After criminal processing, N.K. will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton with a report.

The action was carried out in cooperation with police officers of the Doboj Police Department – Modriča Police Station.
