In Prijedor, the police found and seized about 1.2 kilograms of cocaine, about three kilograms of marijuana and a laboratory for growing marijuana with several stems in pots and vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana.
The Prijedor Police Department announced that in cooperation with the Department for Organized and Serious Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of the Republika Srpska, under the supervision of the Prijedor District Public Prosecutor’s Office, they are conducting an operation codenamed “Roma”, which is aimed at preventing the production and trafficking of narcotic drugs and detecting organized groups that deal in the trafficking of narcotic drugs.
It is added that searches were carried out at 13 locations in the Prijedor area and one search in Banja Luka, and 14 persons were detained.
“In the activities so far, about 1,180 grams of the intoxicating drug cocaine and about three kilograms of the intoxicating drug marijuana were found and seized, and a laboratory for the cultivation of the intoxicating drug marijuana was also discovered, where a large amount of stems were found in pots and several vacuum packages of the intoxicating drug marijuana intended for further sale,” the announcement states.
A certain amount of weapons were also found, as well as other objects that can be linked to the commission of criminal acts.
The searches were carried out with the support of Gendarmerie units, cavalry and service dogs and the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit of the MUP of the RS.
