policija-znackaAn annual reporting press conference of the Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Internal Affairs took place, where representatives of the Ministry expressed satisfaction with the results last year.

The Sarajevo Canton Minister of Internal Affairs Nermin Pećanac said that he arrived to this position last year, and from then interpersonal relationships are at the highest level.

He said that a lot has been done on the staffing plan, as well as equipping members of the Ministry. He also said that there would be 170 new employees in the Ministry this year, younger inspectors and police officers, and 130 more in 2015.

Minister Pećanac also stressed that the tender for winter police uniforms is complete, and delivery is in progress, and next week there will be a tender for the obtainment of summer uniforms, and a procedure for the procurement of official uniforms for employees of the Ministry is underway.

In addition, a tender procedure was completed for the obtainment of 1.500 pistols worth 1,74 million BAM.

‘’We achieved all these results despite the fact that our budget was 5,5 million BAM, which was smaller than in 2012. As an illustration of the good atmosphere among the police, an example is the fewer sick days police officers took, which was 3.15 days less than in 2012’’, said Minister Pećanac.
