Police reveals The Identity of the Killer of Five Persons in Croatia

Five people were killed today in the Home for the Elderly in Daruvar. A man entered the Home for the Elderly and Infirm and started shooting at people.

The killer is 51-year-old Krešimir Pahoki from Donji Daruvar. His mother was a resident of the home.
Pahoki is a retired military policeman.

In 1996, Franjo Tuđman awarded him the Memorial of Homeland Gratitude, which is awarded to Croatian citizens for honorable and exemplary service, Index.hr writes.

After the murder spree, he ran away with a gun, but the police arrested him near a cafe. He killed the mother, residents and employees of the home.

As MojPortal.hr unofficially learns, Pahoki, like almost every day for the last 10 years, sat in front of a shop in Donji Daruvar drinking beer just before the bloody campaign. At one point he came behind the firehouse and asked the janitor to drive him and another friend into town. The janitor told him he couldn’t because he had work to do.

“I thought he needed to go to an ATM or something like that. It never occurred to me that he intended to do something like that. And then I hear this. I don’t know what to tell you, I’m in shock!” said the janitor.

The police had already dealt with the killer before. Namely, as his acquaintances told Mojportal, a month ago he threw an acquaintance on the stairs where there were bottles.

Due to the severity of his injuries, the man was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital in Bjelovar and ended up undergoing abdominal surgery. He allegedly had a gun in his mouth before that.

“Before, he was an ok boy, he was a military policeman on duty in Zagreb. But when he retired, alcohol obviously took its toll,” said a resident of Daruvar.

Unofficially, they learn that Krešimir first came to the Daruvar coffee bar, where he ordered himself a drink and treated the guests who were in the cafe at that moment. They say he was completely calm and said: “I’m going to do something”.

After carrying out the slaughter in the Home, he calmly went out into the street and returned to the nearby cafe “Daruvar”. There he was found and arrested by the police.

Krešimir’s mother was allegedly housed in the Vianey Home for the Elderly and Infirm in Daruvar for 10 years, Klix.ba writes.
