Simulated prevention of disturbances of public order and peace, intrusion into the room with high-risk deprivation of liberty of suspects, work and activities with service dogs, as well as observation of the anti-sniper team, are some of the segments of the demonstration exercises of officers of the Police Unit for Special Support and Public Order and Peace of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton (TC), which were shown yesterday. Police units have shown that they are ready to respond to tasks.

”Of course, even to the most complex ones for which we have shown training through our daily work. You saw some of the equipment, vehicles, and training of people concretely on the field,” says Elvir Mahmutovic, commander of the special support unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TC.

Activities on the procurement of new and renovation of existing equipment were initiated by the Government of TC, for which about 15 million BAM are planned. The funds will be used for the purchase of weapons, long barrels and ammunition, uniforms, and special armored vehicles.

”We will be able to procure a larger amount of material and technical resources that will be used later for more efficient, successful, and professional execution of police tasks and duties,” says Dzevad Korman, director of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of TC.

A demonstration exercise was held on the occasion of May 22nd, Police Day, all with the aim of presenting the training of police officers and showing the techniques and tactics of intervention. Investments will continue.

”Through the increase of salaries, investment in equipment and infrastructure, construction of facilities, our citizens will have better services from the members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” told Hajrudin Mehanovic, Minister of Internal Affairs of TC.

Part of the equipment used by the police was also presented, and the greatest attention was caused by two special “interceptor” vehicles with measuring devices for traffic monitoring and control. The vehicles are equipped with the most modern radar speed control system and will be used for preventive and repressive purposes, Federalna writes.
