A member of the Special Police Unit of the Police Unit Zenica, Arnel Keleštura, prevented a fellow citizen from jumping from the Jalija Bridge into the Bosna River today in the afternoon.
This information was confirmed to the Klix.ba portal by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton from the operative on duty, and as we have learned, around 12:15 p.m. at the location of the Jalija bridge, a Zeničan woman aged about 30 tried to jump off the bridge into the Bosnia river and thus take her own life.
At the moment when the woman from Zenica was already on the fence of the bridge, with one foot over the fence, Arnel Keleštura from Zenica, who is also a member of the Special Police Unit of the Police Department of Zenica, ran towards her and pulled her off the fence, thereby saving her life.
Everything happened in just a few seconds, and members of the police and the Emergency Service came to the scene very quickly.
