LamijaLamija Pehlivanović, a girl who suffers from AVSD heart disease (Atrioventricular septal defect) and microcephaly (a rare condition associated with a declining growth of fetal head), today will travel to Munich where she will be operated after required medical tests.

Two days ago, for the operation of this severely ill girl about 13,000 EUR was missing, but thanks to the response of human people money was collected within 24 hours. Sarajevo Association Pomozi.ba launched a campaign called “Beautiful and humane for Lamija”, which was carried out on Wednesday at 15 hairdressing salons. In that action 7668.25 BAM was collected, and the Association donated 2,000 BAM of their own funds.

Motivated by this action, people who were willing to donate money contacted Lamija’s father. The Association Pomozi.ba said that they have enough funds now, and remained part of the money is for costs and hospital stay.

“We are delighted to be able to provide the funds for the operation of this little girl, and additionally, we are happy because we have managed to motivate many others to help,” pointed out from the Association.
