The decision of the Banja Luka City Administration to withdraw the Rescue and Fire Service from the Banja Luka Airport further complicates the airport’s operations, harms both Banja Luka and the entire region, and may cause major complications with possible canceled flights, which directly affects passengers, according to “Aerodromi Republika Srpska”.
“Aerodromi” emphasizes that such a decision directly affects air traffic, or rather, the possible temporary suspension of part of the traffic.
“We are in the process of finding a short-term solution to this major problem if the Rescue and Fire Service withdraws from the Banja Luka Airport,” the company emphasizes.
Banja Luka International Airport is of vital importance to all municipalities in the Republika Srpska, the entire BiH and the region, “Aerodromi Republika Srpska” states, adding that such a decision by the Banja Luka management affects citizens, or passengers, the most.
“We are monitoring the development of the situation and will resolve any new complications accordingly,” “Aerodromi” states.
The Mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković, announced that on Wednesday, December 11, he will withdraw the Rescue and Fire Service from Banja Luka Airport if the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Budget System is not withdrawn.
