12825479_1736943026542374_776871329_nThe best BiH K1 fighter Dzevad Poturak will defend the title of World’s Champion in WAKO version on the 11th of March in the Zetra Olympic Hall in Sarajevo, and his challenger is the champion of Poland Michal Turynski, who is in the top of the list of challengers in WAKO Federation. The match will be held within the framework of the 8th international martial K-1 manifestation “No limit”.

In order to prepare as good as possible for this match, 38-year-old Poturak hired one of the best coaches of the world, Mike Passenier. He was the coach of Badr Hari, Gokhan Saki and Murthel Groenhart, as well as many other fighters. Passenier also worked with Alistair Overeem. At last night’s press conference, Poturak expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to work with such an expert.

“I am very happy to have the best coach in the world with us. He made great champions such as Badr Hari, Saki, Overeem… Today we had the training that returned my sharpness. He improved my focus. I am usually not nervous, but while sitting next to him, I do get nervous. I guess you know what I mean, because he is the best coach as, for example, Jose Mourinho is in football. It is not easy when you stand next to him. He criticized me a lot and I’m glad that he did, because it will help me a lot,” said Poturak.

Passenier will stay in Sarajevo until Wednesday, and then he will travel back to Paris. After completing training with Passenier, our fighter talked about his impressions.

“He sees what others cannot see. He looks at the details, and I really appreciate that. The accuracy of what he said from the corner must be applied in the ring. He knows to make the fighter angry. He knows to ‘push’ the fighter and make him fight. He knows to push forward the fighter without heart and with fear,” stated our best K1 fighter.

After the press conference, Passenier held a seminar in which he spoke about his fighters, and the way he works with them.
