Prague: Leaders Failed to Reach Agreement on Election to House of Peoples

lideriDuring the plenary part of the session of political leaders from B&H in Prague, an agreement on the choice of election to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of B&H was not reached, said one of the participants at the session to Srna.

A meeting was held in Prague between leaders of the seven leading parties in B&Hwhere they were trying to reach an agreement on the implementation of the “Sejdić-Finci” case. The EU Commissioner for Enlargement Štefan Fuele, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčak and the Special Representative of the EU to B&H Peter Sorensen, as well as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the USA participated in the meeting.

Parties from the FB&H led talks in recent months with the help of experts from the European Commission in order to agree on a model for the election of the B&H Presidency members that would apply in the FB&H, but an agreement was not reached.
