The UN office for the fight against drugs and crime (UNODC), the delegation of EU in B&H and the Agency for prevention of corruption and coordinated fight against corruption will organize today in Sarajevo the presentation of the report “Business, corruption and crime in B&H: Influence of myth and other criminal activities in private enterprise”.
UNODC created the report, financed by the EU, as part of a regional project on the assessment of corruption in the Western Balkan countries.
The data on corruption experiences are gathered based on defined sample-general population, business sector and public officials followed by clear methodological standards. The report reveals that corruption and other types of crime are major obstacles for private enterprise and they have negative effects on private investments in B&H. These data are revealed based on the interviews conducted with the representatives of 2.000 enterprises.
The Deputy Chief of EU Delegation in B&H Renzo Daviddi will open this event by addressing the audience.
