Presidency Members met with Ambassadors of EU Member States

Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik and BiH Presidency members Zeljko Komsic and Sefik Dzaferovic met on Friday with ambassadors of the EU member states.

Members of the Presidency of BiH reiterated their commitment to full membership in the EU and the implementation of reforms in the process of European integration, and in the implementation of 14 key priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission (EC).

The EU Ambassadors welcomed the visible progress in meeting the 14 priorities of the EC Opinion, with the expressed need for coordination of competent institutions from all levels of government in BiH in the further implementation of the priorities.

Talking about the issue of migration and the increased pressure BiH is facing, they expressed the need to make additional efforts to resolve the humanitarian aspect of the crisis.

All competent levels of government in BiH are invited to cooperate and coordinate in resolving the difficult humanitarian situation, and with the continued support and assistance of the EU and international organizations, work is being done to ensure better conditions for the reception of migrants.

In addition to the Head of the European Union Delegation to BiH and the EU Special Representative to BiH, Ambassador Johann Sattler, the meeting was attended by ambassadors and representatives of EU member states in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Austria, Czech Republic, Spain, Hungary, Netherlands, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Poland, Germany, Slovenia, Italy, Sweden, Slovakia, Croatia and Romania, as well as the new commander of the EUFOR mission in BiH, the BiH Presidency stated in the press release.
