A 17-year-old girl, Ella Jovanović, who was seriously injured in yesterday’s tram accident, remains in critical condition.

As confirmed this morning by Sarajevo General Hospital to Klix.ba, intensive resuscitation treatment and therapy were continued overnight and into the morning.

Banners of support for Ella, who is fighting for her life following the tram accident, appeared this morning on the Skenderija Bridge in Sarajevo.

Yesterday, her leg was amputated following the accident. Alongside Ella Jovanović, three other people were injured.

The accident also claimed the life of 23-year-old Erdoan Morankić, a young man from Brčko who was studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in the Bosnian capital.

Yesterday, around noon, the tram, coming from the direction of the Railway Station, entered the intersection near the Technical School at high speed, derailed, and at the tram station injured four people and killed one.

The on-site investigation lasted nearly 10 hours, after which the tram was removed and traffic in the area was restored last night, Klix.ba writes.
