The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Decision on the appointment of Borjana Krišto (HDZ BiH) as the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
BiH Presidency Chairperson Željka Cvijanović (SNSD) and Presidency member Denis Bećirević (SDP) voted for that decision, while Presidency member Željko Komšić (DF) was against it.
According to the Law on the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is appointed by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina with each new mandate. The appointment decision is now submitted to the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for approval.
The Chair of the BiH Council of Ministers takes office after the appointment is approved by the House of Representatives, and confirmation of the appointment must be completed within 30 days from the date of appointment.
