President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will arrive on April 13 for his first official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, BHRT learns.

During the visit, Aliyev will meet with members of the BiH Presidency.

Aliyev will visit our country at the invitation of the Chairperson of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, who was in Baku on March 1.

On that occasion, Cvijanović and Aliyev agreed on a joint business forum of the two countries.

During the meeting, Cvijanović informed Aliyev that, based on the decision of the BiH Presidency, the BiH embassy in Azerbaijan will soon be opened, expressing the hope that this will create new perspectives for the improvement of cooperation.

Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina were established on February 9, 1995.
