Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on Wednesday in Brussels that the meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borrell and EU Special Envoy Miroslav Lajčak was very successful, while he did not even meet with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Vučić, who today participated in the new round of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels, said after the meeting that he believes that a good job was done, but that there was no meeting with Albin Kurti.

He also said that Kurti “either did not want or was not allowed to meet him”.

As for the dialogue, he announced that the main negotiators will continue the talks on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“We will continue to fight, to protect the interests of Serbia…”, said Vučić.

“I reiterated our commitment and willingness to participate in the search for a compromise solution with the aim of protecting the Serbian people and normalizing relations, and added that Pristina is not able to fulfill what it signed 11 years ago, which is the formation of the Union of Serbian Municipalities,” wrote Vučić on Instagram.

He also said that during the conversation he emphasized “Belgrade’s full commitment to continuing the dialogue and exclusively to the peaceful resolution of the problem.”, Federalna writes.
