President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) Milan Tegeltija announced to reporters today that he will launch legal action against all media outlets and journalists individually who are claiming he committed criminal acts.

“All statements by reporters who claimed that I was involved in corrupt practices will be analyzed,” said Tegeltija.

He said that he would sue both politicians and all those who made false claims. This includes Faris Vehabović from the European Court of Human Rights, BIRN BiH reports.

Tegeltija said that this does not stifle freedom of the media and that he supports the investigative work of reporters, but that as a citizen he has the right to protect himself from defamation, Federal News Agency reports.
