HNZThe Prime Minister of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Nevenko Herceg, met with Juan Bosco Gimenez Soriano, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to BiH on Monday.

Main topics on their meeting were the current political situation in BiH as well as possible cooperation in the field of tourism, agriculture and other economic sectors, as announced by the Government of HNC.

“Without changing the Constitution and the Election Law, this country cannot count on the accelerated path towards the European Union, so I believe that the elections in 2018 will be held in accordance with the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH,” stated Herceg at the meeting.

Speaking about the possibilities of cooperation between the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the Kingdom of Spain, Herceg noted that he sees the possibility for cooperation in sectors of air transport, tourism, religious tourism and agriculture, and he urged the Ambassador Soriano to invest additional efforts that will result in concrete economic cooperation, in accordance with his authorities.

“The interests of the government of my country, as well as the interest of the European Union, are that BiH continues its accelerated path towards the membership in the European Union. There is a lot of effort for you to invest, but I believe that you will be able to find solutions acceptable to all nations and citizens of BiH. I also think that the country with 3.5 million citizens should not have as big administration as you have, but I also believe that local politicians will be able to successfully solve these issues,” said Ambassador Soriano.
