Prime Minister of Scotland: My Family in Gaza has Six Bottles of Water left to share between 100 People

The Prime Minister of Scotland, Humza Yousaf, says that his wife’s family lives in Gaza and that they are going through “torture”. He also pointed out that his family in Gaza has six bottles of water left to share between 100 people.

“It’s gotten to the point where they have six bottles of clean drinking water in a house of 100 people, including a two-month-old baby. That’s what I know,” Yousaf told reporters during a visit to Brechin, a town hit by severe flooding after Storm Babet.

He emphasized that his wife’s family never knows if they will “survive from one night to the next”, because rockets, rocket fire, and drones continue to shell the Gaza area night after night.

Speaking at the Scottish National Party (SNP) conference earlier this month, Yousaf said Scotland was ready to accept Palestinian refugees from Gaza.

“I call on the Government of the United Kingdom (UK) to take two urgent steps. Firstly, they should immediately begin work on the creation of a refugee resettlement scheme for those in Gaza who want to and are able to, leave. And when they do so, Scotland is willing to be the first country in the UK to offer safety and sanctuary to those caught up in these terrible attacks,” Yousaf said at the time.

Namely, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that 436 Palestinians were killed, including 182 children, in Israeli attacks on the enclave in the last 24 hours.

The number of dead rose to 5.087 Palestinians, while 15.273 were injured since October 7th.

Yousaf is of Pakistani origin, while his wife is of Palestinian origin, Klix.ba reports.
