At the end of January of this year, production in the mines in Vares officially will begin, it was confirmed by the company Adriatic Metals.

It should be recalled that this is one of the largest post-war investments in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), and certainly the largest at the moment. Adriatic Metals BiH Company has invested almost 400 million BAM to date in research, development of mines, construction of infrastructure, and processing plants.

“We confirm that the end of January is the official start of production activities at our plant. This significant step marks the beginning of a process that will continue to develop, with the goal of achieving production of 65.000 tons per month,” the company said.

This new phase of production represents an important moment for this company and the local community. Paul Cronin, CEO of Adriatic Metals, emphasized that the increase in production volume every day will contribute to strengthening the company’s position on the market, while simultaneously creating new opportunities for the growth and development of the local economy.

In addition to directly strengthening the local economy through a significant inflow of money that the company pays into the public budget of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC) through tax contributions and concessions, the company will strive to support the local community through various socially beneficial projects. We also contribute to the prosperity of the community by providing opportunities for continuing education, retraining, and professional development of citizens.

“As far as employees are concerned, we currently have around 300 employees, and we expect further growth in the future. According to the current estimate, we anticipate an increase in the number of employees in the percentage of around 30% by the end of 2024. In addition to the current open positions, we also offer an open competition for all interested,” Adriatic Metals stated.

They look forward to continuing to contribute to the economic prosperity of Vares and the whole of BiH, and they deeply believe in the successful development of the company in cooperation with the local community, Biznis Info writes.
