blok7The construction of the hydroelectric Janjići is expected to begin next year, thanks to the approval by the FB&H government, the majority ower, given to B&H Elektroprivreda to be entrusted to KfV, the German Development Bank.

‘’We received approval for taking a loan from KfV in the amount of 30 million Euros, which is what is needed to start construction. Upon receipt of these funds, we will accelerate the entire procedure of construction and tendering, and so we have come to the cheapest funds. Given that this is renewable energy, and KfV is financing the project that would contribute to increasing energy potential, this is an advantage for the energy potential for all of B&H’’, said the General Director of Elektroprivreda B&H Elvedin Grabovica. He added that the construction of hydroelectric Janjići, in addition to the loans, will be financed by their own funds in the amount of seven million BAM.

Director Grabovica said that what is important is that KfV recognized the potential of this project to which it gave a loan without government guarantee, and he said that this shows the quality of the company.

As for other projects, Director Grabovica said that next week they are expected to hold a tender for the prequalification for hydroelectric Vranduk, and a tender in April for the wind farm Podveležje, which will also be financed by KfV.

‘’At the start of April, we expect the arrival of a bid for Blok 7 in Tuzla, and afterwards there will be an evaluation, sending proposals to the government, and afterwards in the Parliament for signing. All of these three projects are now, in about a month, underway, about to start or calling upon a tender, and then there will be negotiation, evaluation, contracting and the start of construction’’, said Director Grabovica. He said that the completion of the construction of Vranduk would be in about three years, the wind farm Podveležje in a year, and Blok 7 four years from the start of construction.
