Project to Launch Introduction of Legal Metrology for Medical Devices with Measurement Function

mjeriteljstvoAccording to Poslovne Novine in B&H, The Metrology Institute has recognized a need for the introduction of standards and directives on medical devices according to legal metrology regulations in B&H. Appropriate studies have already been conducted.

Medicine measurements deal with the measurement problems for medical purposes, because the diagnosis in medicine is unthinkable without measurements.

This sector of metrology provides an increase of the quality of goods and services and consumer protection and the main task is to provide to citizens the corrects measurement results in order to protect human health, environmental protection and traffic safety.

The Institute emphasizes that the implementation of new regulations which are in the process of being adopted will be able to provide an appropriate control level and supervision, and will be secured by a greater degree of accuracy and reliability of medical devices with measuring function.

The final and most important result is the increase of the quality of health care in B&H, which is in the interest of every user of medical services.
