Prosecutor’s Office proposed Detention for Minister of Human Rights of BiH

After questioning the suspect, the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will send a proposal to order a detention measure for Miloš Lučić (1986), Minister of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Suspect Lučić is under investigation for corrupt criminal acts – abuse of position or authority connected to several criminal acts.

The measure of detention is proposed due to the danger that the suspect could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence and influence witnesses or accomplices, as well as repeat the criminal offense or complete what was started.

The measure of custody is necessary because the suspect would be in daily contact with persons who are witnesses, accomplices or are connected to the events covered by the case, including persons to whom he is a superior, and would have access to documentation and evidentiary materials, which could jeopardize the investigation process and investigative actions to be undertaken.

A detailed proposal for determining the detention measure will be sent to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal term, announced the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
