The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, presented today, in Kazan, the Order of Alexander Nevsky to the President of the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

The Party of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), of which Dodik is the president, announced that he was “awarded for his great contribution to the development of cooperation between the Republika Srpska and Russia”.

The SNSD also states that Dodik said during the meeting with Putin that the RS rejects any possibility of joining Western sanctions against Russia, as well as that it will not join NATO.

“The Republika Srpska is our friend, thank you for supporting Russia. We are grateful to you for maintaining relations with Russia. We will work even harder on our good relations and you are always welcome in the Russian Federation,” the SNSD reported Putin’s statement during the meeting with Dodik.
